Recently everyone is satisfied that these farm laws are repealed.

Farmers mainly from Punjab, Haryana and U. P were protesting against the enforcement of New farm laws. And had been protesting against the government for over a year now.

These ” three black laws” faced backlash as according to the government these laws would allow the crop prices to be determined by the market forces, enable farmers barrier free inter – intra state trade for all farm products whereas the farmers strongly disagreed.

They argued that these laws would eliminate MSP (the guaranteed minimum price for their produce) also, they pointed out that marginal and small farmers may find it difficult to sell their produce at market even though the prices are relatively better because of constraints on storage and travel cost.

On the auspicious day of Guru Purab, these farm laws were withdrawn from parliament.

However, many people agree to the fact that these laws were repealed only because the election were coming soon and due to these laws BJP will lose huge amount of voters.
